If every film and television production in Los Angeles replaced its current lighting with a NiLA solution, the energy saved would equal the generation of two coal-fire power plants.
NiLA was created by a 20+ year veteran of motion picture lighting to meet the demanding needs of professional gaffers while dramatically improving the environmental footprint of set lighting. NiLA uses 75% less electricity and generates 80% less heat than tungsten or HMI lights. This reduces air conditioning costs and creates a more comfortable working environment on motion picture and television sets. Our system has an expected life span of twenty years without lamp replacement, eliminating the need for Federal and State regulated bulb recycling. NiLA eliminates the need for toxic heavy metal components. The inherent durability of NiLA 's solid state solution also enables new applications for set lighting.
