ABOUT US
NeuroBet is a neural network based stock market/betting market prediction tool. I've had a bit of interest in the idea recently so I'll go into a bit more detail below with how it works:
The core software is written in C++ .NET. I originally had plans to release it as desktop standalone software, but the idea of making it a web product was too compelling! The code base is a mixture of two main libraries and the neural network itself.
The first library is a C library which grabs the data from an external web source. The second is a "Technical Analysis" (in the trading sense) library which analyses the data and provides inputs to the neural network. The final component is the neural network which attempts to identify patterns in the data and predict the strength/direction of a security for the following time period.
The web site was originally going to be created using Joomla (the open-source CMS), but since I've begun getting into Python/Django I've decided to use that instead. The neural network and libraries themselves can be rewritten in Python to make the whole process very streamlined.
If anybody has any expertise in neural networks and their use in financial market prediction, then drop me a line. I'd love to work on this project with somebody else.
THINGS WE NEED

Since I cannot contact you otherwise, I hope you read this and respond... A short intro here:
During the past 6 years I have worked for and founded unique US companies, vanguards in Direct Access Algorithmic Trading (on US secondary exchanges), dealing with predominantly proprietary trading based on electronic time-critical algorithms developed in-house, absorbing up to 4-5% of Nasdaq trading. Currently I am involved in a similar trading project that spans across a range of financial instruments, and boasts of one of the best cost structures in the industry, unparalleled by everyone but the industry giants. I believe We that our co-location (low latency), minimal trading fees and direct access trading model opens up new opportunities for algorithm development.
