MyON-ID persues exactly that principle: Users can build and cultivate their personal brand. The platform facilitates to grow your online reputation – even without previous knowledge.

Everyone can easily create and design a personal online business card. Due to the ability to customize the profile individually, the basic set-up for a presentation of the personal brand is given. Very exciting at this juncture: All relevant activities and contents which stand in connection to the person get aggregated and can be added to the profile. Services like Twitter, Facebook, Xing, LinkedIN, Flickr, mySpace, Youtube, Slideshare, Delicious, MisterWong and many more can get integrated. The embedding of an existing blog or a web page on the myON-ID profile is very easy to handle as well. The user and his content are taking the centre stage with a myON-ID profile.

myON-ID services are available in both a free and a purchased Premium version. The premium membership for €5.99 per month offers additional benefits for self-marketing and personal branding. This includes an own domain for the profile, an own mail-domain, an individually Google-ad as well as an ad-free profile and a more comprehensive monitoring of your relevant keywords.

MyON-ID supports open standards and a data exchange between different web services. With a myON-ID profile URL, every user possesses an OpneID which gives access to more than 40,000 OpenID-compatible websites without another registration. Additionally, myON-ID is “relying party” and accepts external OpenID's as well. Thus, new users are able to login with their existing Google, Yahoo, AOL or any other Open-ID account. For a secure data transfer like the synchronisation of contacts via Twitter, Google and Yahoo, myON-ID uses the open standard called OAuth.

myON-ID was founded by Mario Grobholz and Roman Pritzkow in 2007. Investors are nexum AG and T-Online Venture Fund. The company is now managed by Mario Grobholz and Christian Sigl.
