ABOUT US

We observe, as specialists in body physical rehabilitation and fitness, the difficulties health specialists have to give diagnostic-focused and detailed home exercises in a pedagogical and easily reproducible way. Such a training program should be made in a reasonable time during a health care consultation, and the patient should bring it home with full understanding of the movements to perform. We are therefore developing interactive multimedia presentations of physical exercise sets intended to be used at the patient's home. Health professionals or personal trainers giving physical exercises on prescription could then create in few minutes and send via e-mail a specific and interactive application, supporting and motivating the patient to perform the exercises. We already made a demo application for such a solution. There are certain solutions in the market that are addressing these issues, but in a rather superficial way considering how we intend to develop assisted training to its full potential by using advanced sensing technologies and state of the art multimedia solutions. The market reaches around 2 million potential small, middle and big size commercial entities in Europe. It covers various sub groups, like physiotherapy practitioners, hospital, rehabilitation centers, home health, gym or sport centers, which all can be potentially interested in MULTIAEROBICS. We are considering taking out a software patent in EU and US. The solution we develop shall be protected because the originality in our approach requires specific technical solutions (typically in the way a home motion capture device can deliver real time feedback on patient's physical performance). We aim at being a pioneer in this specific business area, thus giving MULTIAEROBICS a strong competitive advantage. We intend to deliver our services on-line (web site, clients login area, downloads, etc), and will have to invest in advertising and publicity in different periodicals, newspapers and web portals specialized in our targeted costumer to reach a high visibility. Starting in Scandinavia for an initial launching period and then expand our market to Europe and to rest of the world within few years. Overall software development is planned to take about 5.000 man hours, about 8 months for the initial product and with a rounded estimated price on 3 million DKK. This investment can be recovered by reaching less than 2% of the Danish market, which shows the profitability of the product.
MULTIAEROBICS will be a perfect solution to health professionals giving physical exercises on prescription. Simple but high quality tools allowing a practitioner to quickly make dedicated, pedagogical and motivating physical exercise programs will ensure a better rehabilitation for the patients. Current interactive and pervasive technology (e.g. sent via e-mail or to cellular phone) allows to provide the final customer with a complete physical exercise program, easy to understand and to follow thanks to a real time exploration of a virtual agent showing the exercise, and giving him/her the opportunity to get a real time feedback on the physical performance at home. Following our preliminary tests and developments, the challenge is to produce a versatile product (adapted to a large range of physical exercises) and to integrate it with the networked functionalities allowing an easy delivery, maintenance, and usage from anywhere in the world.
