ABOUT US

Most families recognize the need to get prepared for disasters, but very few actually take the time to do so. LReady addresses this problem by using web and telephony technology to give families a way to get prepared in less than five minutes. For $7.95 a month, users get access to an emergency messaging system, automatic refills of expiring emergency supplies, an online vault to store critical documents, and customized ID cards that allow first responders to remotely access their medical profile and connect with their family. Users with GPS enabled devices can also track their family members’ locations in real time.

In addition to its paid service, LReady offers a free disaster planning tool that helps families build an online emergency plan that monitors their status and generates a recommended list of readiness supplies that can be purchased through the company’s ecommerce site. LReady was incorporated in 2007 and is currently based out of the UC Berkeley Entrepreneurship Laboratory.

More good news - LReady was recently named a Phase I winner in Google's Android Developer challenge, which included nearly 1,800 entries from all over the world. Our mobile product is quickly becoming a core focus of the company.
