ABOUT US

FOR STARTUPS

Startuply is here to do two things:

- Help the right job seekers find you.
- Make the whole team–building process as easy as possible.

We have a whole strategy to drive high quality, startup–type folks to you, and our product itself is definitely a part of that plan. Your company profile is one of the main angles of attack: sure, tell people about your mission and your products, but also about your team and what it's like to actually work at your startup. Job seekers want to know how big you are, how much funding you have, who your investors are, what your revenue picture looks like, what the office itself looks like (pictures!) and whether or not it's cool to wear sandals to work. You can share as much or as little as you like – every descriptor has a stealth option for all you super secretive operators – but we encourage you to open up as much as possible. We've tried to build a great opportunity for you to sell yourselves, so take advantage of it!

We think it's pretty easy, too: you just have to do everything once. Build your profile, and we integrate it with every job posting. Post a job once, and it automatically reposts after thirty days (that's right). When someone applies for one of your jobs, we'll send you the whole resume and cover letter, just a notification, or nothing at all – it's up to you. We store all of the applications in a user–friendly, sortable menu, and make it simple to update your profile, add team comments to job postings, and add new office locations (yep, you can post jobs for multiple company branches, all under the same profile). We think you'll like it, but check it out for yourself.

Oh, we almost forgot to mention: it's free.

FOR JOB SEEKERS

We have two main goals for job seekers:

- To help you learn as much as possible about growing startups so you can find where you fit best.
- To make the job search process as fun and easy as possible.

One of the key additions we bring to the table is the company profile. Where a generic job description tells you diddly about the company itself, Startuply profiles provide an in–depth, behind the scenes look at startups who are hiring. Beyond mission statements and product overviews, don't you want to know how many people are on the team, how much funding they have (and from whom), what their revenue picture looks like, and what it's actually like to work there? We sure do. Check out photos, get to know where the office is, learn more about the team and the environment, and much more.

In terms of design and usability, we've tried to include the features and functionality that we have all come to expect from our digital tools. Startup profiles are integrated with the job postings themselves – pretty smoothly, if we do say so ourselves – and we've including capabilities such as social bookmarking, email, RSS feeds (both general and for specific searches), and maps. Everything is searchable, and almost everything is sortable, too. Our detailed search is pretty cool, too – try adjusting your search options to find startups and jobs that are right in your sweet spot.

And the best part? We're excited to say that this is just the beginning.

WHY Startuply

We're passionate about startups.

How many situations exist in which a few smart people locked in a room can change the course of an industry – or the world? We don't exactly know, but we're sure there aren't many. We – all of us that are part of this startup industry, so to speak – are lucky enough to live at a crazy intersection of vision, capital, and appetite for risk. We're here to create great technologies and businesses that change the way we work and play. If you don't think you can shake things up with just a small team and a few people who believe in you, you're in the wrong business. For those of you that know this is where you're supposed to be, Startuply is here to help.

Working at a startup is like no other professional experience on earth (or personal experience, for that matter, depending on whose significant other you ask). We work long hours on hard problems in high–risk ventures. In a startup, every person matters in a way that big companies can't even begin to fathom. And we all get sick of seeing our teammates more than our (other) loved ones.

The point is that it takes a certain type of person to work in a startup, to lead this type of life, and to build something important and lasting. This is why we're here. Startuply is about startup companies, startup jobs, and the startup people who grow them.

We're starting out pretty simple. We have a job board that we think is pretty cool. The most basic building blocks are company profiles, so that job seekers can find the startup that fits them best. Startups build their profile once, and it's attached to every job they post. We've included the design features and functionality that we've come to expect in all of our digital tools, and there's plenty more in the works, too – we're committed to doing everything we can to help startups build great teams. In the meantime, we'd love to hear from you. Please drop us a note, and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.

Cheers,
The Startuply Team
