ABOUT US

Founded in November 2006, Indego Africa Project is a partnership between African communities and volunteers committed to alleviating poverty and chronic unemployment in Africa by providing reliable income, developing job skills, and affording access to export markets, with the goal of creating and supporting sustainable businesses. We currently sell Rwandan handicrafts at high-profile retailers (Art Institute of Chicago, US Holocaust Museum) and then donate 100% of profits back to our partners to be spent on training in advanced job skills and management skills.

We are looking for a Stanford student partner for the Social E-Challenge. We are already Echoing Green semi-finalists and finalists in the Social Entrepreneurship & Innovation Competition at Washington University in St. Louis.
