Susan MacTavish Best has worked extensively with European and North American companies providing them with strategic public relations counsel since 1995. Susan started Best Public Relations in 1998 and has worked extensively with a diverse portfolio of clients during this time including craigslist, Esurance, Lulu.com, Smugmug, MainStreet.com, and Olivia Cruises and Resorts. (Internet, literary, personal finance, travel, food and beverage, technology, and consumer companies).
Susan is on the advisory board of the Diabetes and Wellness Foundation, a national non-profit that helps diabetics lead healthy lives.
Susan is the founder of Posthoc, an award-winning volunteer-driven online resource for the Bay Area that she started in 1998. Here she managed over 100 contributors and was responsible overall for the content creation, maintenance, business development, marketing and design of the site. The site is quietly returning after a few years in the dark.
A single-malt and haggis fan, Susan grew up in St. Andrews, Scotland. She graduated from Hamilton College, and studied at St. Hilda's College, Oxford University where she was co-editor of the university magazine, ISIS, and the Oxford International Review. During off hours, Susan is usually found training for a marathon or cooking up a storm.
