Shuman Talukdar

Shuman Talukdar brings a unique combination of experiences in strategy, technology, and entrepreneurship. He has an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (with Honors) from Rice University. Prior to founding InspiredVC, he was a Principal with the Parthenon Group where he developed strategies for Fortune 500 companies, conducted due diligence for private equity investors, and worked with a renewable energy developer to pursue new international business opportunities in the carbon trading market (securing a multi-million dollar project contract). He has early-stage venture experience working with North Atlantic Capital and Endeavor. While at Harvard, Shuman worked closely with Felda Hardymon, Harvard Professor and Senior Partner at Bessemer Venture Partners. Prior to business school Shuman worked in product management roles and has experience defining products in IP intensive industries ranging from water processing equipment, environmental technologies, and semiconductor. He had leadership roles with a number of technology and R&D focused organizations in Silicon Valley including Network Equipment Technologies and Isadra (acquired by VerticalNet) and was the founder of a personalization service provider. He began his career with Accenture's Technology Labs. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and Bengali. He has worked with upstarts in India and Mexico and has traveled extensively around the world.
