Shaherose Charania

Shaherose is a mobile and telephony junkie. She is currently leading new consumer products at Ribbit, a British Telecom company.

She was previously at JAJAH as the Director of Product Management & Strategy. JAJAH is funded by Sequoia Capital, Intel Capital and Deutsche Telekom. JAJAH believes in a flat world and offers flexible, next-generation telephony solutions for consumers and businesses.

She is also the co-founder of Women 2.0 which promotes the collaboration and growth of women in entrepreneurship and technology. In 2006, Women 2.0 was given an achievement award by the County of Santa Clara's Commission on the Status for Women and endorsed by members of Congress.

Prior, she was at TiE Global overseeing governance, strategy and operations of 40+ entrepreneurship centers in places like the US, Canada, India, the UAE, and Malaysia while developing requirements for TiE’s online community and internal apps as the product strategist.

After one year in Spain, Shaherose ventured to the Bay Area 3 years ago from Vancouver, Canada with just 2 backpacks, no job, no network...only a dream to pour her entrepreneurial spirit into launching tech solutions for the developing world. She is passionate about the socio-economic change and improvement communications technologies can bring to emerging economies.
