My duties included:

• Responsible for network layout and security within the venue.
• Gained experience working with WiFi networks security using ChilliSpot and RADIUS server implementation.

Description: TCF is a Dubai based media relations consultancy company.
My duties included:
• Development of TCF's media and news web portal (PHP + mysql)
• System administration of a Windows 2003 domain
• Consultancy work for X-sat, a Thuraya Satellite service provider reseller. I developed an online portal for their clients to manage their bills (PHP + mysql) and got to play around with some really cool equipment for satellite communications (sat phone, sat dsl modem etc.)
• Deployment of an open source VOIP system (Asterisk)

Description: I worked for Scanit Middle East, a leading IT security company located in Dubai. I was assigned to internal as well as external projects.
Internal projects included:
• Setup and maintenance of an internal SAMBA server
• Development of the website (www.scanit.net) (PHP)
• Developed Scanit free online webserver scanner (web based security scanner written in PHP and Perl)
• Implemented a VPN solution for the company (OpenVPN)

• Delivering security consulting services for a major Telecom Operator in the Middle East
• Penetration tests on business critical systems, both remote and local
• Incident response handling and system hardening for another major Telecom Operator in the Middle East

Description: After school hours I worked for more than two years at a major Belgian ISP. I started out as a help desk employee, assisting customers (both *nix and Microsoft users) in fixing their Internet and e-mail connectivity problems. Later on I was put on abuse response as well. My responsibilities also included maintaining the Linux test machines. Near the end of my studies I moved to the internal help desk department where I did my internship.
