Jonathan Markwell is the founder and Managing Director of Inuda Innovations Ltd. Inuda is a technology business that specialises in helping individuals and organisations become more visible and more productive using the web. The business achieves this by providing engineering, coaching and consulting services supported by a unique collection of internally developed tools and approaches.
Over the past two and half years Inuda has worked with over 30 clients ranging from unknown early stage startup businesses to multinational non-profits such as Oxfam. They have built custom made solutions including Facebook applications, stand alone social networks and collaboration tools for supporting unique business processes, primarily using Ruby on Rails. Where existing tools and services fit a client's need they have provided affordable coaching and advice rather than reinventing the wheel. This has lead to them independently supporting over 50 web applications like PayPal, Wordpress and Twitter.
Alongside its business activities Inuda supports various socially focused initiatives through non-profit hub inuda.org, organising community events and activities for hundreds of people who are passionate about making a difference through technology innovation. This has lead to them supporting three BarCampBrightons, and co-founding OpenCoffeeSussex which continues to provide an informal environment for business people and university academics to meet technology people every fortnight at the Sussex Innovation Centre. Inuda's most recent project is the development a coworking space in the heart of Brighton called The Skiff.
Outside of work Jonathan is planning his wedding with fiancée Anna and enjoys travelling and cooking for friends and family. When he can he spends free time getting out on the water, sailing competitively and for pleasure.
