Jeff Hock is Director of Business Development at Quarkis Co. Ltd., a company he helped found after recognizing a growing need for the internationalization of websites. Through Quarkis, Mr. Hock and his team provide unique productivity solutions aimed at helping small to medium sized online businesses reach and retain a global audience.

Prior to Quarkis, Mr. Hock held a variety of international sales and marketing positions at Autodesk Inc.. His last tenure as Senior Web Production Manager offered him the experience of leading a team to build and deploy Autodesk's 27 enterprise-wide websites for the Asia Pacific region, while executing all regional online marketing initiatives.

Position: Business Development Director
Time period: January 2003 - Present
Description: • Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing initiatives
aimed at increasing traffic to maximize advertising, subscription and
additional services revenue for Quarkis’s web properties.
• Grew Quarkis’s customer base to over 150,000 members across all
web properties. Grew traffic to over 50,000 daily uniques.
• Continually investigate and test various social media channels to
improve and optimize conversions per specific audience segments.
• Implement and closely monitor PPC/CPM and SEM campaigns to
improve SEO effectiveness, minimize CPA’s and maximize ROI’s.
• Maximize ad revenue conversion rates by tracking and monitoring
site analytics relative to key performance indicators. Consistently
achieve CPM’s over $10 and CTR’s over 3%.
• Own strategic and day-to-day internal and external communications
concerning the company, products and services.
• Ensure quality execution of regular external communications via
newsletters, blogs, RSS feeds, seasonal promotions and new
product launches.

Description: • Key figure in creating the Asia Pacific Internet strategy. Assembled
and lead a team to execute on our plans and accomplish our goals.
• Responsible for leading a team of 50 publishers and 15 website
administrators to create, deploy and maintain Autodesk's 25
Internet, Extranet and Intranet sites throughout Asia Pacific.
• Ensure all cost-effective design, development, integration,
globalization, localization and 24/7 upkeep of local web sites in
support of business objectives and customer requirements.
• Assisted in the development and implementation of a proprietary
enterprise-wide content management and publishing platform.
• Provided on-site training to site administrators and publishers
throughout Asia to build, deploy and maintain 8 regional partner
extranet sites, 16 local corporate Internet sites and our Intranet.
• Performed extensive site analytics to track and measure the
performance of all web properties relative to established KPI’s.
• Implemented e-mail campaigns, seasonal, region and product
related marketing campaigns on an ongoing basis.

Description: • Managed a team of applications sales engineers to sell and market
software solutions throughout the Asia Pacific region. Tenure
inclusive of group forecasting, budgeting and P&L responsibilities.
• Extensive direct selling of complex conceptual solutions such as reengineering
services, TDM and 3D design automation software into
the Manufacturing industries, namely aerospace, automotive,
industrial machinery, shipbuilding and consumer products.
