- Design, development and testing of software features for Cisco’s 12000 series Core and Edge routers which are used by Service Providers worldwide. - Interacting with Product Marketing to come up with new feature functional and design specifications. - Doing software feature presentations for the testing team and for TAC (Technical Assistant Center) personnel. - Working with the field team on resolving critical customer issues. - Mentoring new hires and providing guidance to the team on various software modules. Leadership - Lead the effort to improve quality for a software feature that was impacting numerous customers. Successfully stabilized and improved the quality. Teamwork - Worked with teams across Cisco in improving the quality of software. - Training the testing team on various software features when required. - Mentoring new hires. Project Management - Handled all project management related activities such as scheduling, planning, resource allocation for my last two projects. Achievements - Did software feature characterization for Verizon Business. The effort contributed to a $29 million booking for the BU. Received a CAP award from our marketing team for this effort. - Worked cross-functionally with teams across Cisco to provide solution for critical issues for customers such as AT&T, Verizon, Cable & Wireless and Telmax. This effort helped the BU win major bookings from all these customers. - In all received 6 CAP awards. |

Received CAP Awards for my effort in decreasing the bug count and delivering software of the highest quality. - Our BU received the “Software Quality Improvement Award” for Q3FY04. Customer Interaction - Worked with numerous customers worldwide on resolving critical issues. - Received a CAP award for “Stabilizing a customer network” which otherwise could have impacted our customer in a big way. - Received CAP awards for resolving customer issues in record time. Achievements - Key Contributor award for my efforts related to certification of CMTS products. - CAP (Cisco Achievement Program) Awards in recognition to resolving of critical customer issues. - CAP Awards for improving quality of the software. - Delivered software for a new CMTS platforms. - In all received 20 CAP Awards. |
