Description: Research Project for HBS Doctoral Candidate.
• Performed industry analysis of the global agribusiness industry and collaborated in HBS Case Bunge: Food, Fuel, and World Markets (HBS:708‐443) that is used in executive education and MBA programs
• Identified and interviewed more than 12 industry leaders in the Brazilian sugar ethanol industry, including CEOs, VC and PE investors, consultants and entrepreneurs to gather information on industry trends for business analysis
• Analyzed financial statements, balance sheets and income statements (10K’s) of a sugar ethanol company and identified key revenue drivers and internal and external variables that affect margins
• Evaluated impact of Brazilian industrial policies on entrepreneurial activity in the sugar ethanol industry
• Analyzed M&A activity and evolution of ownership structure, critical information to advise policy makers
