FULL BIO

Diana Huidobro is an MBA student at the MIT Sloan School of Management and the Managing Director of the MIT Clean Energy Prize - Energy Track of the MIT $100K Entrepreneurship Competition. The MIT Clean Energy Prize is a global business plan competition for student teams with ideas to start companies in the Clean Energy space sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy, NStar, Chesonis Foundation, Lux Research, the Wall Street Journal, among several leading companies in the energy industry, Venture Capital and Legal firms.

Diana performed extensive research on the Brazilian sugar-ethanol industry for a Harvard Business School project, working with industry leaders, Private Equity firms, Venture Capitalists and consultants and evaluated the impact of energy policies and disruptive technology on entrepreneurship, M&A activity and the overall industry profitability. She also worked in the Harvard Green Campus Initiative performing baseline analyses and designing and executing social marketing campaigns to promote energy efficiency, water preservation and recycling.

Before coming to the United States, Diana was part of the founding team of RiskAmerica.com, a startup that sells state-of-the-art financial Risk Management applications to banks, pension funds, brokerage houses, mining companies, energy companies and the Central Bank of Chile. She worked in various Business Development roles, managed Client and Investor Relations, and participated in two rounds of financing. Diana spent this past summer as an associate at The Brattle Group working on consulting projects for energy companies.

Diana graduated with honors from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile as a Civil Industrial Engineer with a double major in Business and Environmental Engineering. She also holds a Certificate in Management from Harvard University. In her spare time Diana enjoys reading, cooking, running, jewelry making, adventure traveling and the Arts.

• Identified and interviewed more than 12 industry leaders in the Brazilian sugar ethanol industry, including CEOs, VC and PE investors, consultants and entrepreneurs to gather information on industry trends for business analysis
