Interested in being a mentor for start-ups. Dr. Wong was the founder and CEO of Velociguard, an early seed stage start-up creating next-generation managed network security services based on innovative management software. Prior to Velociguard, Dr. Wong was co-founder, CTO and initial CEO of Radiance Networks, a start-up that developed advanced file and NAS storage management and virtualization systems. Prior to Radiance Networks, Derek was founder and president of ACCUTE Corporation. Dr. Wong holds Ph.D. and M.S. degrees from Stanford University in Electrical Engineering and a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from UC Berkeley. His Ph.D. dissertation was on a special high-frequency clocking technique for digital circuits.
