Description: Responsibilities included:
• supervising student guides; identifying and filling gaps on the enrollment route
• supervising the accurate and efficient filing of over 2000 student files
• ensuring redeployment to the filing room

• carrying out various office tasks including filing and preparing marketing material

Employer: Charity Eye Camp

Time period: January 2007 - January 2008
Description: This project involved fund raising for and organising a charity eye camp held in Jam
Sahib, Pakistan in February 2007. A total of £2500 was raised in order to provide
surgery, aftercare and medicine for over 1000 people who could not afford medical
treatment themselves. The excess money raised went on to fund a further camp in
January 2008.

Description: Throughout the year, I attended public speaking sessions twice per week, and competed in two public speaking competitions - one as a questioner in a team, organised by the English Speaking Union, and another as a solo competitor in an event held by the Rotary Club. Description: At Shad, I worked in a small group to create a product around an energy saving theme. Within the month, a prototype, business plan and a presentation were put together to present to a group of potential investors, before the competing projects were judged on a national level. Awards for “Best Marketing” and “Best Application of Theme” were awarded to our group at the national level.
