FULL BIO
I studied engineering science at the University of Oxford, spending one year at Princeton University on an exchange program. Immediately afterwards I did a PhD in biomedical engineering at the University of Oxford, working on an alarm system for patients in high-dependency care. During my PhD I worked as a consultant for a med-tech startup that commercializes the intellectual property generated in our research group.
In February 2008 I was the joint winner of Oxford Enrepreneur's "Idea Idol" business idea competition, with my company 'zoombu'. 'Zoombu' integrates online travel search finding door-to-door journeys across all modes of transport between the UK and continental Europe. Users are presented with the cost and duration of the routes and simply select the one that meets their needs.
