FULL BIO
Aussie, university medalist of IT degree, 10 years experience in mobile and internet product management, including launching products in 23 countries with Vodafone Global, and launching 12 products in 4 months with an O2 funded startup.
I have a background in web and mobile product management, designing and launching innovative products for Vizzavi, Vodafone live!, Smart Global and Fairfax Business Media in multiple countries.
Since I started Skimbit mid-2006, it has gone through a few incarnations. It began as Skimbit.com, the world's first social decision-making tool, that skims the best bits of sites you like to help you make group or tricky decisions easily.
In September 2007, I also launched Skim-in-a-box (www.skim-in-a-box.com), a white-labelled version of the Skimbit.com service, that enables portals and other companies to license and offer the tool to their own clients.
I developed innovative technology to monetise our sites, and in late-2008 I decided to try offering this technology as a stand-alone service to other online publishers. We called it Skimlinks (http://skimlinks.com), and it took off better than we could have anticipated. We now run Skimlinks on hundreds of sites all over the world, and help them earn an incremental revenue stream with no cost to deploy or run.
I then decided to focus our business entirely on this new path: solutions to help websites monetise in innovative and user-friendly ways, that don't rely on advertising. We have stopped working on Skimbit.com and Skim-in-a-box, and now are focused on Skimlinks.com and associated solutions.
