ABOUT US
We support a thriving community of entrepreneurs that love Oregon, need investment, pledge to return capital to the state and grow jobs locally.
Our first event on March 19th, 2009 drew approximately 300 people, received over 200 Oregon Entrepreneur Pledge Forms and had over 75 two-minute presentations - see the attached video.
Our second event on April 7th, 2009 in Medford/Ashland drew approximately 75 people, received over 30 Oregon Entrepreneur Pledge Forms and had over 20 presentations.
So what's next?
- we are in dialogue with the Oregon State Treasurer's office regarding the creation and management of this fund
- we are working with media regarding the rationale behind smaller investments in start-up companies, the newest research on the returns for these types of investments and the potential job creation impact of such a strategy.
We won't stop until a fund for Oregon's best entrepreneurs is established.
