Build, hack, play, make. At first I secretly scoffed at the "e" on the end of faire, thinking 'here is a renaissance faire for nerds.' and as it happens, I wasn't far off. what i didnt quite grasp until I spent 2 days here this year, watching everything from hovercrafts to burning robots to animated LED bike wheels, is that renaissance faire for nerds is fun and creative and amazing, and cutting edge in an offbeat way.
