It is with great pleasure that University of Cambridge announces the first
international "Entrepreneurship for a Zero Carbon Society" summit, to be held
between the *2**2nd -- 24th September 2008*, inline with *Cambridge's 800 year
celebration*.
This summit aims to step-up individual collaborations and understanding between
policy makers, investments and business leaders in an open-minded and
politically neutral international forum. Hosted at University of Cambridge, the
summit is designed to bring together cutting-edge energy research and
innovative businesses to move the highly multidisciplinary energy innovation
community at Cambridge and beyond forward. 'Entrepreneurship for a Zero Carbon
Society' summit will showcase promising technology and policy approaches that
have the potential to achieve critical scale and make a significant impact on
the global energy landscape. Business plan idea competition, academic research
posters and numerous interactive energy-related exhibits will be displayed,
giving attendees a unique opportunity to experience University of Cambridge's
entrepreneurial spirit.

Deloitte*, Professor Robert Watson (former Senior Scientific Advisor of *World
Bank*), Mr. Nick Butler (Former Group Vice-President, Strategy and Policy
Development, *BP*), Mr Ross Lovegrove (world-renowned industrial designer known
for his work for Apple, Sony and more recently 'Solar Trees') and Dr. Joachim
Reiss from *Q-Cells AG* (world leading photovoltaic cell producer) will be

2. 'Nanoeurope
A conference regarding the creation of business from various emerging
nanotechnologies called 'Nanoeurope' will be held in St. Gallen,
Switzerland on the 16th-17th September 2008.
From the website: "The international congress will present successful
commercial nanotechnology applications and introduce new scientific
knowledge that can be commercialized."
Five different sessions will run in parallel covering topics such as
regulation of nanotech, investment, sensors and surface treatments or
coatings.
In addition to this there will be an exhibition building with showcasing
successful companies and ventures.
