    Wednesday, February 17: Business Summaries Due

    This is a friendly reminder that your business summaries are due in less than 3 weeks. Dust off that laptop or grab a pen and paper, it is finally time to formalize your business ideas.

  • 2. BigBang! Mentorship Mixer

    Wednesday, February 3
    6:00-8:00 p.m.
    2102 Gallagher Hall, UC Davis

    Mentorship Mixer is a new event that will facilitate the mentor-mentee matching process. We will begin the event with each mentor briefly introducing themselves and their companies to the contestants and conclude it with a networking reception for mentors and BigBang! contestants.

    During the networking reception, contestants will have the chance to pitch their ideas to many different mentors and give mentors the opportunity to work with contestant teams to further develop their plans.

    Drinks and light refreshments will be provided.

  • 3. Resources to help your team develop your idea

    If you would like some assistance and direction on general facts or concepts to research for your business summary and business plan development, be sure to check the RESOURCES PAGE at the Big Bang Website. On this page, you will find answers to frequently asked questions, links to external business plan development resources and in the coming weeks powerpoints of past workshop presentations.

  • 4. Have a completed team?? Register Now!!

    If you have a completed Big Bang! team, please go to the Big Bang!
    TEAM REGISTRATION PAGE and register your team and your team members.

    Things to remember when registering…

    1) Designate a TEAM LEAD.
    This person is the main contact for your team and the person who will be responsible for all official communications. This person should add bigbang@ucdavis.edu to their email list to ensure that all communications are received.

    2) One member must have UC Davis Affiliation
    At least one active member of the team must have a valid UC Davis affiliation. This member may be an alum or current student, faculty, or staff member.

    3) Note all important contest dates
    Make sure to read through the complete list of events and deadline dates at the Big Bang! EVENTS PAGE. The dates highlighted in red are deadline dates in which documents must be submitted. (IN AN EFFORT FOR FAIRNESS, NO LATE SUBMSSIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED). Other important dates are the “Little Bang pitch event” and the “Big Bang! Final event” in which qualified teams will be required to attend and present their business idea. Attendance is mandatory to be considered for prize money and awards.

    Tips on team formation:
    #1. Register your information on TEAM BUILDER PAGE so other people looking on the team can contact you.

    #2. Contact the list of people who are looking for a team on the TEAM FINDER PAGE. That way you will get more responses.

    #3. Attend our last event, Mentorship Mixer, before your business summaries are due. It will be your last chance to meet prospective team members for this year's competition.
